Your Counseling options

INdividual Counseling

Are you looking for someone to join you as you navigate a new situation, seek change, or cope with a past or current experience?

Amanda Birkland specializes in grief and trauma, and has additional training in neurodivergence (including ADHD, Autism spectrum, etc.).

With the ability to tailor the approach to a more direct, solutions-focused appointment or a more conversational vibe, Amanda would be a good fit as your therapist.

Relationship Counseling

Are you and your partner(s) hoping to make conflict more effective and efficient? Are you seeking new ways to bond and connect, especially during this busy season of life?

Amanda Birkland specializes in working with couples and relationships through her Level 2 Gottman Method training.

With a unique ability to “translate” what each partner’s needs and values are, we will work together to grow toward understanding and focus on concrete actions to take.

Communication skills can be valuable for people and partners of any identity, background, and/or relationship status.

Let’s talk more about what would be most helpful to you.

Relationship Intensives

In the near future, there will be an opportunity to attend a couples or relationship “intensive” where we dive deeper into the roots of conflict and learn coping strategies in a one-day (4- or 6- hour) group setting.

This can be a strong foundation before your routine counseling appointments or a one-time relationship maintenance appointment.

Think: private retreat-style reflection and/or workshop-style learning while you connect with other couples experiencing similar themes. You are not alone!
